Born, Raised, and Selling Ladera!
When it comes to community, there are few places that rival Ladera. Originally developed in the mid 1940s, Ladera is now home to roughly 540 families. Ladera prides itself on its love of family and community, popular amongst young families, couples, single professionals, and empty nesters. Once you move to Ladera, it’s hard to leave, and many families stay through retirement.
Connected by a series of paths at the end of the many cul-de-sacs, Ladera residents enjoy walking to the Ladera Shopping Center as well as the Ladera Recreation District. The Ladera Recreation District offers amenities year round such as tennis, swimming, and exercise classes. The Ladera Dolphins, the summer swim team, is a community favorite for kids ages 4-18 with many of the swimmers graduating on to become lifeguards and swim coaches. Be sure to check out the 4th of July festivities including the famed Greased Watermelon Contest and the annual bakeoff! Once a month, the Ladera Crier is distributed to residents, highlighting news from the neighborhood.
Located in San Mateo County and situated on the border of Portola Valley, Ladera is within walking distance to Ford Field and the recently revamped Alpine Inn. Conveniently located near Highway 280, you are minutes to Webb Ranch, the dish, Menlo Park, Stanford, and Palo Alto. Acclaimed Las Lomitas School District and Menlo Atherton High School/Sequoia Union High School District.
